Our Vision
A world where all people regardless of socioeconomic background or age can enjoy and fully benefit from computer-based technology.
Our Story and Mission
Editco Digital Academy TM was inspired by Edith King’s experience working over 30 years in information technology and her desire that African-Americans are not left behind in the digital age.
Despite great advances in computer devices, there exists a digital divide in which African-Americans and other communities of color lag behind in access and utilization of computer technology.
In 2019, she established the academy to teach basic technology skills to African-American professionals, business owners, and older adults in a friendly environment.
Our goals:
- Help older adults become more comfortable with computer devices commonly used in everyday life
- Provide specialized training for computer devices and tools commonly used in the work place and in business
